ABOUT THIS SERIES

Many plants use in-house soy milk or soy protein isolate (SPI) as the nitrogen source. Soy milk varies in protein from batch to batch and readily carries contaminants; SPI dissolves poorly, leaves sediment and delivers less usable nitrogen than its label suggests. This series is a plant protein nutrient designed around those two problems: adjusted hydrolysis and solubility, total and amino nitrogen specified on every batch, and a price positioned for large-volume industrial use.

SUITABLE FOR

  • Food fermentation: soy sauce, natto, enzyme drinks and fermented beverages
  • Agricultural microbes: biofertilizer and biopesticide strain production
  • Industrial fermentation: large vessels and cost-sensitive processes

KEY POINTS

  • Replaces soy milk: dry powder, room-temperature storage, sterilised with the medium
  • Replaces SPI: improved solubility, so the nitrogen actually reaches the broth
  • Total and amino nitrogen specified with a COA for every batch

Frequently asked questions

01How is this different from a standard soy peptone?

Positioning. Standard soy peptones are specified for culture media and testing use; this series puts cost and handling in large-volume fermentation first, with hydrolysis and solubility tuned for replacing soy milk or SPI.

02How do I convert the dosage?

Convert on a nitrogen basis: work out the total nitrogen your soy milk or SPI delivered, then convert it using the total-nitrogen percentage on the specification sheet. We can help calculate a starting dose from your recipe.
