Overview
ISP Medium 1 is a broth (liquid) medium, part of the International Streptomyces Project (ISP) set for actinomycete taxonomy. It is ISP 1 tryptone-yeast extract formulation, used to cultivate and maintain Streptomyces. STBIO manufactures it from food-grade raw materials in an ISO 22000 certified facility, with a COA for every batch. This is the Halal-certified version.

The ISP (International Streptomyces Project) range is the standard media set for the taxonomy of Streptomyces and other actinomycetes. Each number provides a different carbon and nitrogen combination for observing mycelial colour, soluble pigment, and sporulation. Taxonomic descriptions normally require several of the numbered media read together.
