Overview
Phenol Red Broth Base is the base broth for carbohydrate fermentation tests: a single carbohydrate such as glucose, lactose, sucrose or mannitol is added when preparing, acid from fermentation turns phenol red from red to yellow, and a Durham tube collects any gas. The biochemical identification steps of the Taiwan FDA Salmonella, S. aureus and B. cereus methods all use phenol red carbohydrate broths of this kind. A base formulation; add the carbohydrate per the method. Food-grade raw materials, Halal certified.
